🇫🇷 À travers une composition florale subtilement codée, Echoes of Connection explore les thèmes fondamentaux de la protection, du lien, et de la résilience émotionnelle dans l’univers de Death Stranding 2 : On the Beach.
Au cœur de l’installation, la cordyline, plante totémique aux pouvoirs protecteurs ancestraux, incarne le courage, la réussite et la protection de Sam, figure centrale de l’œuvre. Symbole de prospérité chez de nombreux peuples, elle agit ici comme un talisman face à l’adversité.
Posée au sol devant l’œuvre, une composition en callas noirs offre une signature florale japonisante – clin d’œil aux origines du créateur du jeu. Ces fleurs, mystérieuses et élégantes, représentent la renaissance des personnages, la complexité de la psyché humaine, ainsi que l’union et la connexion qui tissent le récit.
En écho au visuel originel du jeu, la main blanche composée d’œillets blancs est une réinterprétation fidèle de l’édition Collector du jeu, mêlant ainsi hommage et détournement artistique. Fleur des dieux dans la mythologie grecque, l’œillet blanc symbolise ici l’amour pur des héros, l’amour maternel, la douleur profonde, mais aussi la paix et l’espoir – des thèmes puissants qui traversent toute la narration de Death Stranding 2 : On the Beach.
À la croisée de l’organique et du spirituel, cette œuvre agit comme une passerelle entre les mondes : elle matérialise le deuil, la mémoire et l’espérance, et invite le spectateur à entrer en résonance avec les dimensions invisibles du lien humain.

🇬🇧 Through a delicately coded floral composition, Echoes of Connection explores the essential themes of protection, human connection, and emotional resilience within the world of
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
At the heart of the installation, the cordyline–a totemic plant believed by ancient cultures to ward off evil–embodies courage, success, and protection for Sam, the central figure. Traditionally associated with prosperity and harmony, it serves here as a spiritual shield against adversity.
Laid at the base of the piece, a ground-level arrangement of black calla lilies offers a Japanese like floral signature–a nod to the creator’s origins. These elegant, mysterious flowers symbolize the characters’ rebirth, the depths of the human psyche, and union or connection, key elements in the narrative.
Echoing the original game artwork, the white carnation hand is a faithful recreation of the collector’s edition box art, both an homage and a reinterpretation. Known in Greek mythology as “the flower of the gods,” the white carnation here symbolizes the pure love of heroes, maternal affection, profound grief, as well as peace and hope–powerful themes running through Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
At the intersection of the organic and the spiritual, this work serves as a bridge between worlds: it materializes mourning, memory, and hope, inviting the viewer to resonate with
the unseen dimensions of human connection.
